LOCAL ENTERPRISE OFFICE HELPS MAKE WICKLOW BUSINESS BREXIT READY
Special courses aimed at assisting Wicklow businesses meet the challenges of Brexit are included in the 2019 Autumn/Winter training programme from Wicklow Local Enterprise Office.
The Enterprise Office, part of Wicklow County Council, provides a wide range of supports to new and existing businesses located within County Wicklow.
The programme is designed specifically for new and existing small businesses so whether someone is interested in a “Starting Your Own Business” course or want to develop new skills in order to expand, there is something suitable for everyone.
The training courses are subsidised, making them affordable for everyone. Group sizes are small and courses are practical and geared specifically towards owners and employees of small businesses, providing them with skills and knowledge which can be put to immediate use.
Reviewing the programme, Mr Sean Quirke, Deputy Chief Executive, Wicklow County Council, said: “We are delighted to present this training programme to new and existing businesses. Our training, development and networking activities represent a significant investment by Wicklow County Council and our partners Enterprise Ireland in supporting business development within the county.
“With Brexit almost upon us we have designed our Autumn/Winter Seminar around this important subject. LEO Wicklow is committed to supporting its clients in preparing for the risks and opportunities that Brexit poses by having a number of Brexit supports freely available to businesses.”
The staff of the LEO Wicklow are available to meet people interested in starting a new business or already in business and looking to expand.
Businesses within the county are invited to subscribe to LEO’s mailing list in order to keep up-to-date with all available supports. They can do this by sending an e-mail enterprise@wicklowcoco.ie.
