National Enterprise Awards Final Louth

Join us for the finale of Local Enterprise Week 2018 as we celebrate the best of innovation and entrepreneurship in County Louth.

Starting with a networking reception and lunch, our event will include the announcement of the 3 National Enterprise Awards winners for Louth and our very special guest speaker John Teeling.

The National Enterprise Awards were established 20 years ago to nurture, support and showcase Ireland’s leading entrepreneurs. At this Local Enterprise Week event, we will showcase the 3 superb National Enterprise Awards category winners for Louth and announce which company will represent Louth in the National Enterprise Awards finals in May.

Louth County Council and Local Enterprise Office Louth are delighted to welcome John Teeling as our special guest speaker for this event. John Teeling is closely associated with the renaissance in Irish whiskey. He established the first new distillery in 100 years in Cooley in 1987 and subsequently re-opened Lockes. The group was sold to Jim Beam in 2011. He then set up the Great Northern Distillery, on the former Harp Brewery site, which operates both single malt and grain distilleries on one site in Dundalk. It is now the second largest distilling company in Ireland. A true entrepreneur, John joins us at Local Enterprise Week Awards lunch to talk about his life in business, lessons learned, challenges overcome and adventures along the way.
