2020 Vision brings digital vision to County Carlow SME’s

Aine Carey, Enterprise Development Executive with the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow County Council, is encouraging companies to consider digital in 2020 with the “Digital Strategy & Development Programme” from Carlow County Council’s – Local Enterprise Office. Speaking about the value of Digital, and why County Carlow SME’s should look at Digital, Carey said “Digital tools can increase profit, reduce inefficiencies, open new markets and provide greater insight for owner managers”

Carey continued to say “Our experience of working with SME’s tells us that people struggle to know where to start when it comes to digital transformation, and struggle to find the time to take that first step.  That’s where the Digital Strategy and Development Mentoring Programme can make a real difference for SME’s. This programme, run by industry experts, is ideal for anyone looking to discuss their business and help them understand the digital road mapping process.”

The Digital Strategy and Development Mentoring will give the business owner an insight on how to optimise their existing digital presence and identify opportunities for a business to become more competitive. It will analyse local online presence, social media presence, website functionality and search rankings. All are important to the online success of a business.

Speaking about the benefits of digital for his business, County Carlow SME’s, Martin Rice from Newhaven Kitchens & Bedrooms said “Our digital strategy was focused around our client experience and using digital with a particular focus on virtual reality we have created a new state of the art customer experience tool so clients can visualize what their tailor made kitchen solution will look like before its built”.  Rice continued to say “I find mentoring is so valuable to my business and also have found once you have a strategy other avenues and opportunities open up such as potential funding for implementation of a strategy”.  Rice concluded by saying “just like building a kitchen, you need a plan to get it right and I’d encourage owner managers to engage with this programme and also come experience what digital has done for our business in Newhaven Kitchens & Bedrooms”.
