Minister Mary Mitchell-O’Connor T.D  , recently visited Carlow company DPF Engineering while attending the Farnborough International Airshow as part of the Enterprise Ireland Pavillion which was designed to expand companies into International Markets.

Farnborough International Airshow is a biennial event that brings together Aerospace companies from across the Globe to actively network and showcase their businesses.

Speaking about the Show , Seamus Lancaster , founder and Managing Director of DPF Enginnering said “We are extremely proud to be a County Carlow company trading on the International Stage with the support of Enterprise Ireland  and we are delighted to be reaching out to new potential customers in the Aerospace industry,  which will lead to further sales and the development of new highly skilled jobs in our business in County Carlow”

DPF Engineering operates a range of 3,4 & 5 axis CNC state of the art machining centres and multiaxis lathes, producing a range of Components & Parts to support the Global Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Fluid Control Industry. DPF work across a full range of advanced engineering materials which include Aluminium, Heat Resistant Alloys, Titaniums & Inconel.

DPF Engineering are a supplier of machined components and sub assemblies to the Aerospace Industry including Bombardier Aerospace who only this month celebrated their new CS100 & CS300 commercial jet entering service, for which DPF Engineering supply wing and fuselage components.

The week long event in Farnborough provided DPF Engineering with the platform to meet with Aerospace Companies and Tier 1 clients to focus on further developing the programs of work that they are currently undertaking in this growing Industry.

While DPF Engineering’s ambitious & vibrant workforce continue to gain traction in the Global Aerospace Industry they continue to develop & expand the range of machined components they supply to locally based International Firms such as Burnside Engineering & Parker Hannafin.

In addition DPF Engineering, operates a Modern Toolroom facility where they undertake work for Blue Chip Companies such as MSD, P&G, Boston Scientific & MGS Manufacturing. DPF have the capability to design and produce Complex Tooling from base drawings through to fully approved prototypes & first off production. The Tool-Room also specialises in the area of Mould & Tool MRO. Allied to this, DPF also produces a range of specialised Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures and Material Handling Equipment for customer specific applications.

Given the attention shown by Aerospace Clients at Farnborough Airshow along with the strong synergy formed with local companies, DPF Engineering can look forward to prosperous times ahead.

Commenting on the company , Kieran Comerford , Head of Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office said “DPF was a great example of one of the many engineering companies which started with the assistant of the Local Enterprise Office and progressed to Enterprise Ireland in order to internationalize their business”.
