Carlow Road Safety Roadshow gets through to students

Road Safety Roadshow

Many hundreds of Transition Year students from County Carlow Post-Primary Schools and trainees from Youthreach and Carlow Youth Training attended the free Garda Road Safety Roadshow supported by Carlow County Council and sponsored by Carlow District Credit Union in George Bernard Shaw Theatre on Tuesday 5th April, 2016.  A ninety-minute age-specific presentation was delivered to the students in two sessions by Sgt. Gavin Hegarty (Waterford) covering Seat Belts, Speed, Intoxicants and Distractions.  This is the fifth consecutive year that the presentation, organised by Gda. Elaine Rowe – Juvenile Liaison Officer,  has been delivered to students in the County.
