Companies throughout County Carlow are invited to “Celebrate Excellence” an evening event on 5th December 2017 in the Woodford Dolmen Hotel, a showcase end of year event by Carlow County Council’s – Local Enterprise Office which aims to celebrate excellence of County Carlow companies and create connections.

The event which will commence at 6pm in the Woodford Dolmen Hotel includes a key note after dinner speech from Broadcaster, Researcher and international speaker David Meade. David has worked with organisations that include Apple, PwC, Harvard in Boston, the Cabinet Office in Westminster, Bombardier and Bank of America, with whom he works on improving the way they work and perform through comprehensive management, leadership, and operational development programmes. David has become known for an innovative style that forces audiences to think critically about the challenges around them.

The event will feature several elements including recognition of companies in the areas of LEAN, Management Development and the presentation of the County Carlow winners of Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur who will share in an investment of €50,000. Speaking about the event, Kieran Comerford, Head of Enterprise with Carlow County Council’s – Local Enterprise Office said “The event is a wonderful opportunity for small and established businesses to connect and hear from business experts but also to surround themselves with like-minded companies who want to develop and grow by supporting each other as part of the County Carlow Business Eco-system”, Comerford continued to say “during 2017 we have seen a significant increase in engagement by the start-up and developing business community and while the Local Enterprise Office doesn’t create jobs directly we create conditions which create opportunities for companies to develop and grow”.

Kathleen Holohan welcoming the launch of the event said, “This event is designed to be a true celebration of the potential and achievements of the County Carlow Business Community”. Holohan continued to say, “We understand in Carlow County Council that Entrepreneurs make a huge contribution to the communities in our county and that by supporting innovative enterprises and supporting conditions for business growth we are supporting the development of every town and village in County Carlow”.
