County Carlow’s Premier Picnic aims to build business connections

Summer 2018 sees the return of one of Ireland’s most innovative networking platforms, The Business Picnic. Now in its third year County Carlow is paving the way for key connections through informal business connections and shared learning, through their annual networking event, The Business Picnic hosted by Carlow County Council’s – Local Enterprise Office in association with Arboretum, Netwatch & Wright Insurance Brokers

The Business Picnic is a free event designed to encourage professional connections in an informal setting. Open to businesses all over Ireland, the Picnic aims to encourage future business development, not just in Carlow, but nationally. Hosted by Anton Savage, with comedian Colm O’Regan joined by a panel of 8 successful entrepreneurs, business executives and professionals the Local Enterprise Office are hosting this key event on 5th July 2018 , in the five star Arboretum home and garden heaven, Leighlinbridge Carlow between 5.45pm to 9.30pm. Last year’s event sold out with over 300 business people attending.

Speaking about the event , Kathleen Holohan , Chief Executive of Carlow County Council said “we hope that this event will encourage the building of meaningful business connections that will drive future business not just in County Carlow but nationally” , Holohan continued to say “Carlow is an ideal location for businesses to start , develop and grow and also for events and Arboretum given its location just off the motorway proves just how accessible County Carlow is to the National Marketplace” , Holohan concluded by saying “we are delighted to be working with our entrepreneurial partners in Arboretum, Netwatch &Wright Insurance Brokers to bring this free opportunity to our business community and their wider business connections across Ireland”

Attendees will have the chance to meet ask questions, make connections and exchange ideas with successful Irish and International business people on the day. Among the international panellists there to share learning and business insights includes Rachel Doyle, Arboretum; Sean Galllagher; Niall Kelly , Netwatch; Tony Wright, Founder & CEO of Wright Group Limited a market leader in insurance distribution platforms; Conal O’Boyle – Carlow Nationalist; Kathleen Holohan , Carlow County Council; Cormac Tobin , Former CEO Celesio UK & Ireland.

Comedian - Colm O’Regan

Comedian, bestselling author and broadcaster, hailing from the small Co. Cork village of Dripsey, Colm O’Regan has stood up and made people laugh all over the world.
