Course 6: Thursday 9th March 2017 – 7.00 pm – 9.00pm

Location: Enterprise House, O Brien Road, Carlow
Eligibility: - Age profile 45+
- Farming communities
- Small business owners (<10 people)
- Unemployed persons
- Persons with disabilities, and
- Disadvantaged groups
Course Content
Compulsory Elements
* Introduction to the internet * Online government services
* Internet safety & security * Conducting everyday transactions
* Email * Online voice and video calls
* Search engines and websites * Use of “Apps”
Additional Optional Element – Minimum of 2 from the following
* Social Media * Instructional videos on YouTube
* Playing Video, TV and Radio * Shopping online
* Online banking, including the process and security safeguards
* Revision.
