Invitation to Apply to Local Enterprise Office Carlow Mentor Panel

Invitation to Apply to Local Enterprise Office Carlow Mentor Panel.

The Local Enterprise Office Carlow is establishing a new Mentor Support Panel to deliver practical and strategic guidance to its clients. As part of the 2012 Action Plan for Jobs, new Local Enterprise Offices have been established and the County & City Enterprises Boards have been dissolved. The Local Enterprise Office Carlow is now delivering the services of the former Carlow County Enterprise Board.

Business Mentoring is one of the most important support services offered by the Local Enterprise Office. It is designed to match up the knowledge, skills and insights of an experienced business practitioner on the Local Enterprise Office Mentor Panel with the small business owner-manager in need of practical and strategic guidance.

This is a Public Call for expression of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to serve on the new Mentor Panel. Prospective business mentors should have in-depth experience in engaging with small business owner mangers, a clear ability to empathise with challenges facing micro and small enterprises and have the ability to demonstrate their understanding and experience in the micro and small enterprise sectors. Of particular interest is the specific skill sets the candidate would bring to the Mentor Panel in assisting the small business owner manager and they should set out clearly their relevant expertise in their specialised area.

If you wish to be considered in the selection process for inclusion on our new Mentor Panel an application can be downloaded here or can be obtained from 059/9130880. Closing date for applications is Wednesday 2nd July 2014 at 1pm.

Please Note: Late applications will not be accepted. Only fully completed applications that have all the necessary supporting documentation enclosed will be considered for inclusion.

The Local Enterprise Office Carlow will appoint mentors for a maximum period of three years in accordance with the provisions of the agreed mentoring service contract. It also reserves the right to fill any vacancies that might arise during that period.
