Just one week left to enter Blas na hEireann – The Irish Food Awards

Food Awards

Entries are about to close for this year’s Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards. The Awards, which are in their 10th year, will take place at the Dingle Food Festival in late September. Last year there were more than 2500 entries in what are the largest blind-tasted Food Awards on the island.

In addition to the awards presented in each category Blas na hEireann are looking for the very best in each county and will be awarding Best in Carlow and Best in Farmer’s Market Carlow. This follow on from The Village Dairy’s success in 2016.

“Every product that carries a Finalist, Gold, Silver or Bronze sticker is picked up more quickly than those without” says Awards Chairperson, Artie Clifford.

“Our research has shown that the Blas accreditation has the highest recognition amongst Irish consumers and using the award logo on pack has made a significant difference to businesses”.

The closing date for entries is June 14th, 2017. To enter, go to www.irishfoodawards.com
