New business and Career Opportunities at  South East Franchise Seminar

Wex Chamber

On June 16th from 6pm to 9pm Wexford Chamber are hosting a Franchising seminar in conjunction with the Irish Franchise Association. The seminar will take place in the Talbot Wexford with a number of experts on franchising in Ireland offering constructive advice and guidance in the area of franchising through a variety of case studies, exhibits, Q&A sessions and networking.

According to recent research carried out between March and May 2015 by Ipsos MRBI for AIB and the Irish Franchise Association, the Irish franchise industry is now poised for strong growth over the coming years with over 28,000 people now working in the Irish franchise sector. The survey also notes that these employees are engaged in the operations of 2,975 different franchise units across a wide range of sectors ranging from retailing and food service right through to an interesting selection of business-to-business and business-to-consumer services.

Tom Shanahan, Executive Director of the Irish Franchise Association, will speak about franchising in Ireland followed by a number of franchise case studies from successful franchisors.  There will also be an opportunity to speak to various franchisors on a one to one basis at their stands.

Speaking about the event, Karl Fitzpatrick, President of Wexford Chamber, said “We are delighted to bring this event to Wexford as part of a concerted effort on behalf of Wexford County Council and Co Wexford  Chambers to attract new business to the South East.  We look forward to welcoming the Irish Franchise Association and many of their Members to Wexford on the 16th June.”
