Opportunity calls for Carlow Companies with Local Enterprise Week

Local Enterprise Week 2019 will happen over five days from 4th-8th March 2019 with a series of County Carlow enterprise events designed to engage, challenge and innovative to maximise your business opportunity. The agenda features a series of workshops, seminars and networking events with a number of influential figures in the business industry among the keynote speakers.

Launching the programme, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council , Cllr. Brian O’Donoghue  said: “This year’s programme is very impressive with a large number of very interesting and informative events that are designed specifically to assist local businesses and encouraging them to learn new skills and practices that will help get their product into new markets and audiences. “

 Kathleen Holohan, CE of Carlow County Council said “Enterprise Week is a fantastic opportunity for local enterprises to engage with one another and learn from some of the best people in the business,” Holohan continued to say “We are delighted to take an active role in supporting businesses. Following on from the successes of previous years and the feedback we have received, we have tailormade the programme to meet the needs of our businesses”

 Speaking about the events, Kieran Comerford , Head of Enterprise with Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office said “we know as an economy we face serious challenges in 2019 and in designing enterprise week , we wanted to place a significant focus on opportunity for companies”. Comerford explained that “Companies who participate in all the activities could avail of up to €10,000 worth of supports for their business in 2019”. 

During the week qualifying businesses can find out how to avail of €5,000 worth of consultancy support for making their company more Lean with a Lean for micro Taster Event  and €2,500 worth of E-Commerce Development support for bringing and developing their business online with a Technology Seminar for Business

Outlining the week Comerford said “the week is designed around an opportunity for a €10,000 support package for each micro enterprise that participates in the various events and programme” Comerford continued to say “We kick the week off with a LEAN Taster which gives companies the opportunity to avail of €5,000 worth of supports to make their company more competitive. Secondly companies can avail of €2,500 worth of support  for Trading Online with the  Seanie Walsh Trading Online Voucher Breakfast Seminar , then over €1,500 worth of Innovation Support as part of the INC (Innovation Navigate Connect) Programme , €1,000 worth of mentoring and training support from the Town & Village Business Support Programme , €1,000 worth of mentoring and support from the Catalyst Programme” , Comerford concluded by saying “this event is not just about events , its really about starting a new development cycle in your business and we look forward to working with the business community following the weeks events”
