Skills to Advance Training – National Training Fund

Kilkenny and Carlow Education Training board Training Services announce the new Skills to Advance Initiative

This fund is aimed at the upskilling/reskilling needs of employees  working for the SME sector and/or those in vulnerable employment e.g. 0 hour contracts. Full details at: www.skillstoadvance.ie

There are 3 routes available to employees/employers in respect of accessing this training:

Route 1. Direct Employee Access

Route 2. Where employees can access further education and training through their employer partnering with an ETB

Route 3. Where employees participate in further education and training as a result of a particular identified regional skills development initiative

Route 1 programmes will be advertised on www.fetchcourses.ie (filter for Skills to Advance).

  • In light of feedback from a number of local employers, Kilkenny and Carlow ETB are now recruiting for the following programmes:
  • Train the Trainer - Chef Training - Confectionary and Patisserie
  • ILM Leadership and Management Training (Blended learning)
  • MOS - Advanced
  • Forklift Driving
