The Taste of Success is back!

The biggest prize on Irish TV is back. Someone’s passion for food will earn them a prize worth  €100,000.  

‘The Taste of Success,’ returns with Series 3 and is now starting a nationwide search for this year’s contestants.

RTE One in association with Lidl Ireland have once again joined forces to offer a dream opportunity for one lucky food entrepreneur. This year we will be searching for the person who has a new food innovation that will be good enough to grace the shelves of over 140 Lidl supermarkets, nationwide.

This year the series is going global and returns with some new faces and some new innovative ideas in a format that will be bigger and better than ever.

The Food Flight

The Taste of Success is going global with a NEW way to enter the competition - ‘The Food Flight’.  In a nutshell, if you know of an Irish born person who is a born chef but – for whatever reason, is living abroad then ‘tag’ them on Facebook and get them to apply. We will fly ONE lucky person home from anywhere in the world – all expenses paid - to compete in the competition. So, you get a loved one home for a visit AND they might win 100,000 EURO – you can’t say fairer than that!

For series 3  - You don’t even have to be able to cook in order to win!

As a new innovation for our contestant search we are asking people to nominate someone they know who is hiding their pilot light under a bushel. All they have to do is ‘tag’ their friend on Facebook. IF the nominee applies, AND they make the programme – the person who nominated the contestant will win a massive 100 Euro voucher to spend in Lidl.

Who can enter?

This competition is open to anyone who has a wonderful food product. It could be a twist on a traditional recipe, a family favourite or a brand new innovation. So it might be their granny's delicious bread recipe, a tasty new jam, a sauce combination they've concocted or their special occasion desert. They may have dreamed up an innovative new health food product or it could even be their own home brew! The most important thing is that entrants must submit their own unique product.
