inCarlow opens its doors to Showcase County Carlow for #Ploughing19

Cathaoirleach, Cllr. John Pender has officially opened the inCarlow Exhibition at the National Ploughing Championships.

The National Ploughing Championships kick off today 17th of September and is expected to generate millions in revenue for the local economy, with over 280,000 visitors expected to descend on County Carlow for 3 days.

 

To coincide with the event,  Carlow County Council in partnership with Carlow Tourism, IT Carlow & Carlow College are hosting the inCarlow – Enterprise , Education , Experience & Tourism Pavilion. Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council , Cllr. John Pender said that “the pavilion offers an impressive insight to visitors and will showcase the variety of great Enterprise , Education and Tourism experiences which are part of County Carlow’s DNA.

Kathleen Holohan , Chief Executive with Carlow County Council said that “We want to present County Carlow in the best positive light to visitors, media and participants during the National Ploughing Championships.  We are delighted with the location of the inCarlow – Enterprise , Education , Experience & Tourism Pavilion right in the heart of the trade stands and expect to welcome thousands of visitors to our pavilion over the course of the championships”.

Holohan continued to say “this exhibition is part of a series of activities we have done to promote our county which includes the inCarlow Magazine , Radio Campaign , Signage Schemes to promote the county which has been delivered in tandem with a significant work package from our area offices , environment and roads departments” , Holohan continued to say “bringing an event like #ploughing19 to County Carlow is a team effort and it has been a great pleasure to work with the NPA , the agencies , community groups and volunteers on this showcase event”.
