Student Enterprise Programme 2021-2022
The Student Enterprise Programme, an initiative run by the Network of Local Enterprise Offices, is Ireland’s largest and most successful student enterprise programme with over 26,000 second level students taking part each year.
Students from 1st year to 6th year get to set up and run their own business and find out what it’s really like to be an entrepreneur by taking part in this 8-month long enterprise education learning programme. Students compete in the relevant class category, Junior, Intermediate or Senior.
The Programme runs from September to May, and students get to do everything a real-life entrepreneur would do from coming up with the business idea to marketing, sales and preparing a business plan/business poster.
Students from 10 secondary schools across Cavan are taking part in this year’s programme including: St. Patrick’s College Cavan, Royal School Cavan, Bailieborough Community College, Colaiste Dun An Ri, Virginia College, St. Clare’s College Ballyjamesduff, St. Mogue’s Bawnboy, St. Bricin’s Ballyconnell, Breifne College Cavan, Loreto College Cavan.
The County final will take place virtually on Tuesday 15th March 2022 at 11am. Further details on how to log onto the awards to follow. Watch this space!
At the end of the Programme in May, successful student businesses from each region get to compete at the National Final for the ‘Student Enterprise of the Year’ award.
