Tradelinks is a business development programme designed to assist the micro enterprise sector across Northern Ireland and the Border counties of Louth, Monaghan, Cavan, Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal.

This programme assists micro-businesses by providing a wide ranging suite of programmes specifically designed to address the issues unique to the micro enterprise sector.  It provides for the opportunity to avail of onsite expert mentoring on a broad range of topics and the formation of cross border linkages with similar micro-enterprises.   It is focused on developing your business to consider trading on a cross border basis. This is an excellent opportunity for your business to avail of expert consultancy at a low cost. The participant cost of the programme was €415.

To date close to 40 Cavan businesses have participated in the programme which was completed in 2014.

The Tradelinks Programme, which was a joint initiative of the border CEBs and Enterprise Northern Ireland (ENI), comprises a suite of business support measures aimed at addressing barriers to trade and facilitating business linkages by providing a framework for co-ordinated mentoring and networking opportunities to support micro enterprises based in Northern Ireland and the six border counties.

The Tradelinks Programme, funded by the EU and the Irish and British governments, under the Interreg IVA Programme, is a fixed term cross border initiative, under which the six border county CEBs and Enterprise Northern Ireland (representing the local enterprise agency network in Northern Ireland), deliver a suite of business support measures to micro enterprises based in the Border counties and Northern Ireland. The programme facilitates business linkages, provides mentoring, and encourages innovation including through hosting seminars and inter-regional events.
