Cavan Business Women's Club 2016 events
We were delighted to host guest speaker Caroline Horgan, Managing Director of Abbeylands Furniture, Scatterbox and Emily McGuinness Collections at the annual launch of CBWC in the Radisson Blu Farnham Estate Hotel, Cavan on Wednesday 17th February 2016.
At our next event on April 20th, Susan Hayes Culleton, was our keynote speaker and delivered an empowering and entertaining presentation. This was a wonderful opportunity for our members to meet and chat with Susan who is well known as The Positive Economist. We also had a great presentation from Cavan business woman and CBWC member Barabara Johnston, on Human Resources Matters aimed at employers and those looking to take on new employees.
On June 22nd we were joined by Lorraine Murphy, winner of the Global Essence Entrepreneur Award 2015, who provided us with valuable Time Management tips through her "Let's Talk Time" workshop. We also enjoyed hearing from Cavan business woman and CBWC member Siobhan Geraghty of Cavan and Virginia Travel who shared her business challenges and successes and gave some great holiday tips for 2016!

Cavan Business Women's Club 2015 events
On Thursday 10th December 2015, CBWC held our Christmas event and final networking event of the year.
Attended by 120 Cavan business women, the event included a fashion show, make-up and styling demonstrations and trade stands, all delivered by our own CBWC members. For full details and pictures of the event please see the latest Cavan Business Women's Club newsletter below.
At our previous meeting on October 20th, we had two wonderful speakers - Rita Shah of Shabra Plastics and Sheila O'Flanagan, best selling author and journalist.
On Tuesday 8th September, our first guest speaker Catherine McGuigan from Age Friendly Ireland, talked about the importance of looking after Ireland's ageing consumers, while our second guest speaker, Shalina Alabaksh, delivered a masterclass in customer service. During the meeting, Cavan Business Women's Club members gave us an introduction to their own businesses and roles with a "30 second pitch".

In attendance at our meeting on Tuesday 12th May and shown in the picture below: Clare Mulligan, who delivered a workshop on Strategic Networking; Marcella Rudden (Business Advisor, Cavan LEO) and our inspirational guest speaker for the night Liz O'Donnell, former leader of the Progressive Democrats, Broadcaster and Public Affairs Consultant.
Speakers at our June meeting included Jill Kerby, a well known personal finance journalist and Claire Cunningham, Aura Internet Services Ltd., who delivered a workshop on Website Development and Online Selling.
