Using Facebook and Instagram for Your Business (Beginner)

Course Description:

Participants will learn how to use Facebook and Instagram to promote their business. The workshops is specifically designed for anyone who is looking for an introduction on how to use social media (Facebook and Instagram) as part of their digital marketing strategy to build an online presence and engage their target market.

The course is aimed at people who may be on either Facebook or Instagram in a personal capacity, but who now wish to use these social media platforms to market their business.

By the end of this beginners workshop and additional one-to-one follow up session, participants will be able to:

  • Develop a strategy for using social media marketing, specifically Facebook and Instagram to build their business.
  • Carry out basic functions on their Facebook and Instagram Accounts
  • Expand their audience and build engagement
  • How to utilise photo's and short videos to support their content creation.
  • How to run basic promotions on their pages, including 'promote page' and 'boost post'.

Duration:

  • 4 x half day (10.00am-12.30pm) workshops (one day per week for 4 weeks)
  • This programme includes 1 x three-hour follow up one-to-one session with the course trainer.

Instructions to participants:

Training will take place online via Zoom. The trainer will be in touch with participants by email, prior to each day's workshop, with a link to access the session. Laptops should have a microphone (required) and a camera (preferable, not required) and participants should have a pen and paper. A strong WiFi connection is essential. Participants are kindly requested to please not have a radio, television or other apparatus switched on in the background during training.
