Local Enterprise Office Clare is looking for a business to represent our County at the National Enterprise Awards Finals which will take place on Thursday 24th May 2018 in the Mansion House, Dublin.

Entries are invited from all micro-enterprises that have qualified for at least one of the following LEO Clare supports:

  • Feasibility Study Grant
  • Business Priming Grant
  • Business Expansion Grant
  • LEO Innovation Investment Fund (LIIF) Support
  • Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE) Support
  • TAME Support
  • Online Trading Voucher

The awards, organised by the national network of Local Enterprise Offices, celebrates the achievements of Ireland's micro-enterprise sector. The awards recognise and celebrate the success stories of small business owners all over the country. In addition to enjoying extensive media coverage, National Finalists will compete for a separate €41,000 prize fund.

How to Enter the National Enterprise Awards 2018

Clare County Stage

Who can Enter?

  • Applications will only be accepted from businesses which employ ten or less employees
  • All applicants must be current clients of LEO Clare (must have received LEO support by way of either Feasibility Study Grant; Business Priming Grant; Business Expansion Grant; LIIF Support, TAME Support, Trading Online Voucher).
  • LEO Clare clients who have transferred to Enterprise Ireland within the last 12 months are also eligible and previous county finalists are eligible to enter

Competition Stages

  • All completed applications received from eligible enterprises by Wednesday, 28th February 2018 will be reviewed
  • Enterprises will be required to present their business to a panel of judges on Friday, 9th March 2018.
  • Three finalist businesses will be selected to share the County final prize fund of €8,500 with the overall winner receiving additional support by way of 2 one-to-one mentor sessions. The County Final Awards Ceremony will take place at 6pm on Friday, 9th March 2018 at the Old Ground Hotel, Ennis.
  • National adjudication takes place on 11th, 12th, 18th & 19th April 2018 in Athlone
  • The County Final Winner will progress to the National Final on Thursday, 24th May 2018 in the Mansion House, Dublin
