Food Start Up Programme

Who should attend?

  • Those with a food business idea that requires exploration
  • Anyone interested in starting a food production business
  • Anyone that has a small scale food business

Participants will be brought through the steps involved in getting started in a food business. They will be given insights into regulatory requirements and potential costs involved. It will help them decide the direction of their business.

Overview of the Training Programme

The programme is to provide the participants with a basic knowledge of what is involved in setting up a food business. The content is designed to provide participants with information which will allow them to avoid the pit falls normally associated with this journey. The programme content focuses on providing participants an overview of the Food Sector in Ireland and gets the objectives of the participant clear in their mind. The workshop will focus also on the practical aspects of setting up a food business.
