Open to businesses including: Retailers from all sectors, Cafes, Restaurants and Foodservice outlets, Hotels, Beauty salons, Hairdressers & Barbers, Opticians, Gyms and other service providers. Available to those businesses based in: Bantry, Glengarriff, Drimoleague, Durrus and Kealkill areas.

Bantry Town Retail Programme 2019

New for 2019, this short retail support programme is designed to give consumer facing business expert advice and new ideas which will facilitate sales growth within their business. 

Trainer: James Burke & Keith Harford - James Burke & Associates

Available to all consumer facing businesses in Bantry town and subject to availability also to those businesses in Glengarriff, Drimoleague, Durrus  and Kealkill. Consumer facing businesses include: 

  • Retailers from all sectors
  • Cafes
  • Restaurants and foodservice outlets
  • Hotels
  • Beauty salons and hairdrsssers
  • Opticians and other service providers
  • Gyms 

**Please note that this programme is only for the owner/managers of the business. 

  • 3 hour workshop: Focused on global trends within the retail and consumer facing business sector. This seminar will also focus on proven tips which help drive independent businesses forward. 
  • 2 hour on-site (per business) assessment: As retail advisors on the TV programme "Feargal Quinns Retail Therapy" James Burke operates in an environment where stores have to be assessed and recommendations made at very short notice. Using checklists and score cards, an in store audit will be conducted personally by James Burke together with the store owner/manager over a 2 hour period. This training session, is to facilitate customised training of each of the retailers in response to their own individual needs. 
  • Action report: The analysis will then focus on sales growth opportunities and each store owner/manager will be provided with a detailed action list of how to improve the overall store performance.
