The Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Local Enterprise Office is one of 7 European partners involved in the Entrepreneur 2.0 Initiative which aims to equip individuals, especially unemployed young people and micro SME owners with skills on exploiting Web 2.0 (interactive web based) tools so that they can become successful entrepreneurs in markets outside their national borders.
Based on the fact that the key to employment, prosperity and development is entrepreneurship, associations of SMEs and micro SMEs, start ups, consultancy and training organisations from across Europe have formed this initiative to exploit current Web 2.0 tools. During the programme the partners will develop the following:-
A collection of Web 2.0 and cloud based tools and services suitable for advancing businesses of current or potential entrepreneurs
A collection of good practices and successful stories of new entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs that have exploited efficiently Web 2.0 tools and have advanced their businesses
A promotional portal (www.entrepreneur2.eu) that will promote the produced material, provide continuous information on cost effective Web 2.0 tools for businesses and good practices
“Train the trainer/mentor” suitable content and guidelines for business advisors, mentors, representatives from Chambers of Commerce and SME associations for offering advice and support on business Web 2.0 tools as services to their members
Recorded interviews and impressions from individuals involved in the project as current or potential entrepreneurs and the Good Practices/Lessons Learned from their involvement in the project
