Pricing vs. Costing: 2-part Series

A series of two workshops to help you to determine the cost of your products or services, while also understanding your market, greater consumer insights, and exploring product mix.

Session 1: COSTING: All about you

Participants will be enabled to understand how to properly cost their products or services.

Topics will include: 

• Wholesale vs Retail (mark-up, etc.)
• Calculating costs:
  • Variable Costs, inc. raw materials, packaging, etc. 
  • Fixed costs o Labour and expertise 
  • Hidden costs to look for
• VAT
• Digital and traditional marketing: markets/expos

Session 2: PRICING: All about them

Participants will be enabled to judge what the right price is for their customers, and to understand the market through market research.

Topics will include:

• Determining the right price in the right place
• Knowing your customer and the market
• Competitor analysis
• The Swing Ticket Moment
• Presentation of VALUE through packaging and other methods
• Wholesale relationships (if appropriate based on participants): pricelists, terms and conditions
• Discounting, sample ordering and special offers: dos and dont's

Delivery Methodology

This workshop will be held remotely online via Zoom.

A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants the day before the workshop.
