Business Advice Clinics

Executives of the Local Enterprise Office Donegal have been helping people get their business ideas off the ground for over 20 years. As a result, we understand that taking the plunge to set up a business is daunting and challenging, but we have a lot of very useful information and experience which is at your disposal.

If you have an idea for a product or service and are a little hesitant about taking the next step, then come along to the informal Business Information Sessions held monthly here at the Local Enterprise Office Donegal. These informal sessions are to assist people by giving practical information to help them make a decision on whether to take an idea further.

During these sessions we provide an outline of the services provided by the LEO and also offer one-to-one meetings with staff of the LEO to discuss your idea in confidence.  We will also provide advice on things like finding out the first things you need to do to set up, what support is available to you (such as research and mentoring), and what the Start Your Own Business Programme covers.  We’ll also discuss the eligibility criteria for grant aid.

These sessions are very informal - you can enjoy a cup of coffee, ask questions and meet our staff, and generally get a sense of the resource which is available to you.  You may decide at the end of the conversation that this isn’t the right time, or you may be inspired to go on and begin the process of starting your own business. Either way, to talk it over and get a sense of what is involved, can’t hurt.
