LEO Dublin City Enterprise Awards 2015
Sonitus Systems, a company providing noise monitoring devices which can be managed remotely through the Cloud, have won the Denis Colleran trophy having been announced as the winner of the LEO Dublin City Enterprise Award 2015. The award celebrates the achievements of small businesses in Dublin city and in addition to the trophy, Sonitus Systems also collected a prize fund of €1,500.
The eventual winners beat off difficult competition from companies such as Boutique Bake, Happy Threads, Leaves, the Irish Whisky Museum, GLUE and Think Ahead LTD.
Sonitus Systems provide automated noise monitoring instrumentation. Their measurement equipment is supported by a cloud based analytics platform which allows users to remotely manage extensive measurement projects. The system is based on ease of use and reliability so that once a customer powers up the equipment, Sonitus Systems can manage the entire process of measuring, analysing and reporting noise levels. Their custom designed technology is used in applications that include smart cities, construction regulation and mining. Customers range from small consultancy firms to multinational technology giants. Sonitus Systems offices are based in Dublin City and the company has installed their equipment all over the world and are growing internationally.
The company is a spin-out of Trinity College Dublin and was formed in 2007 to assist local authorities in Ireland in measuring and reporting environmental noise pollution on foot of new EU regulations.
