                                  National Women's Enterprise Day Launch 2018

National Women’s Enterprise Day is an annual initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices and is supported by Enterprise Ireland and the Local Authorities Network. 

This year the Local Enterprise Offices South Dublin is hosting this exciting event which will highlight the success of female entrepreneurs in Ireland and has teamed up with LEO Dublin City, Dunlaoghaire Rathdown & Fingal to organise this Dublin Region Event.

The theme of this year's event is 'Local to Global' going International and it is taking place in Citywest Hotel on the morning of Thursday 18th October. 

The programme includes a variety of guest speakers, expert panel discussions, small business case studies, an exhibition of enterprise support agencies, one-to-one mentoring clinics, networking and the opportunity to get a business headshot.

Master of ceremony: Broadcaster Colette Fitzpatrick. 

Keynote Speaker: Oonagh O’Hagan, owner and Managing Director of the Meagher’s Pharmacy Group - a retail and thriving online store.

Guest speakers:

  • Helen Smyth, Facebook’s Head of Ireland for Small and Medium businesses  
  • Julie Sinnamon, CEO of Enterprise Ireland. 

There will be a panel discussion, hosted by Colette Fitzpatrick with an entrepreneur nominated from each of the Dublin LEO’s. They will share their entrepreneurial journey and experience in developing their business from Local to Global.

The aim of ‘National Women’s Enterprise Day’ is to encourage even more women to set up their own businesses and to increase national recognition of the essential role played by Ireland’s female entrepreneurs.

Advice, mentoring and networking were key elements of National Women's Enterprise Day with a panel of experienced mentors available.

Successful businesswomen share their experiences with start-up companies and fledgling businesses.

Local Enterprise Office Dublin City is proud to have Sile Ginnane of Fluid Edge and  Sinead Brady of a Career to Love represent us at National Women's Enterprise Day 2018.
