DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL ENTERPRISE AWARD WINNER 2022 ANNOUNCED

Finglas based company, The Inkspot are the winners of the Dublin City Council Enterprise Award 2022. The prize involves a €5,000 investment in the company and also sees it advance to the National Enterprise Award 2022 ceremony which takes place on 2nd June this year.

Founded by the Morgan family in 1991, The Inkspot provide print and packaging to all sectors including many recognizable household brands and artisan products stocked in local supermarkets and pharmacies. Their specialism is brand colour guardianship and their niche is print and packaging design for new product development.

They are exemplary in four national award categories; definitely ‘one to watch’: The Inkspot scaled up during very difficult trading circumstances of the pandemic, capitalising on increased supermarket spending.Lifetime achievement:’ they have sustained & scaled their business for over a quarter of a century.The Inkspot continue to ‘innovate’ through technology, while their partnership approach to account management is a core value. Their clients and agencies are their word of mouth marketing. Products are produced using recycled materials which in turn can be recycled by the end user”.

 Accepting the Award, Gerry Morgan, Managing Director of The Inkspot said - “We are where we are today through hard work, consistency, reliability and customer recommendations”.

Among the special guests at today’s announcement were Lord Mayor Alison Gilliland, Richard Shakespeare, Assistant Chief Executive with Dublin City Council and Mary MacSweeney, Deputy Head of Enterprise & Economic Development, Local Enterprise Office Dublin City.

In the National Enterprise Awards The Inkspot are competing against 30 other finalists from every local authority area for a share of the €50,000 prize fund. The overall winner receives a cash prize of €10,000, with category prizes of €5,000 and eight regional awards of €2,000.
