InterTradeIreland – Trade Accelerator Voucher

About Trade Accelerator Vouchers: 

If a small business is at the early stage of assessing the potential of developing a cross-border business plan then there are many financial, logistical and regulatory questions that may need to be answered. InterTradeIreland, through Trade Accelerator Vouchers, offers financial support worth up to £1,000/€1,200 plus VAT towards professional advice in areas such as finance, regulation, employment law, currency, sales & marketing and tendering.

The Trade Accelerator Voucher can help a business get advice from participating expert providers in Northern Ireland and Ireland and can be redeemed against the cost of practical advice and expertise on specific issues. The voucher can also be used for market advice to help a company scope the potential business opportunity in their opposite jurisdiction.

Who is eligible?

  • The company must be a registered Small Business (10 employees or less) with an annual turnover not exceeding €2m/£1.7m. 
  • The assistance requested must relate to cross border trade and business.
  • The company must be a manufacturing or internationally tradable service company.
  • Small Businesses in the transportation and agricultural sectors are excluded in line with specific State Aid guidelines.

How it works:

  • The company downloads an application form from the website and completes it, including some company information and details about the type of expertise the company needs or problem which the company is trying to solve.
  • The application is assessed and if approved the company is notified immediately.
  • When notified, the company will be issued with a Terms of Reference which must be completed with the Service Provider of your choice. 
  • Once the provider has completed the work to the company’s satisfaction, they claim the cost of the Trade Accelerator Voucher from InterTradeIreland to cover the costs of their expertise for the project.
