Course Overview

On the completion of this workshop participants will understand what SEO is all about and how to improve their own websites. Focusing entirely on what matters in 2020 & beyond, participants will learn about Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

Working in conjunction with each other these powerful free tools allow web site owners to get the maximum out of their website. We will go through a step by step process to ensure all participants are ready to go by the end of the day.

The workshop will focus on:

  • Google vs Bing How to submit your website to Google and Bing
  • Understanding how Google Analytics and Google Search Console work
  • How to use Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • What metrics matter on Google analytics
  • What changes do I need to make to my website?
  • Implementing a strategy that will work

We will be using a WordPress based website to demonstrate, but the concepts are relevant across all content management systems. This interactive and fun training will cover all the bases and participants are asked to bring their laptops. Full training notes will be available on the day.
