National Womens Enterprise Day October 22 and 23 2014

National Women’s Enterprise Day aims to inspire, motivate and support women across the country in running their own business.

  • National Women's Enterprise Day 2014 took place on October 22nd and 23rd 2014 at Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill, Galway.
  • National Women's Enterprise Day 2014 - Creating Connections ..... Building Business.

The aim of National Women’s Enterprise Day is to encourage even more women to set up their own businesses and to increase national recognition of the essential role played by Ireland’s female entrepreneurs.  The event consists of a variety of developmental support actions, including inspiring speakers, information provision, exhibition of state supports for enterprise, facilitated business networking and one to one business mentoring.  See the NWED 2014 brochure, available to download click here.

Keynote speakers at NWED 2014 were Fiona Stack, CEO, Radio Kerry and Leonora O'Brien, CEO & Founder at Pharmapod Ltd. Networking on the evening of the 22nd was facilitated by Therese Mc Carthy, MAC CONSULTING.  A wide variety of speakers from a cross section of businesses informed and inspired attendees throughout NWED 2014.

This event, hosted by the Local Enterprise Offices, is co-financed by the European Social Fund with support from the Department of Justice and Equality, through the Equality for Women initiative.

Female in BusinessAdvice, mentoring and networking are key elements of National Women's Enterprise Day with a panel of experienced mentors available.  Successful businesswomen share their experiences with start-up companies and fledgling businesses.
