Margaret, an experienced cabinet maker, set up CTR Manufacturing in 2009 to make kitchen, bedroom and office furniture for trade buyers. Three years later, she opened a second business, Grand Designs Kitchens & Bedrooms, to showcase and sell custom-designed furniture directly to the public. The company employs seven and has recently relocated to a new factory showroom in Drogheda.

Her company employs 55 people in Ireland, covering sectors such as directory enquiries, live social media monitoring, data preparation and online protection services. Nicola is also the Junior Vice President of the Irish Exporters Association and a board member of the Ireland-US Council

Regina, an award-winning entrepreneur, is passionate about enabling children to reach their full potential. She founded Grovelands Childcare in 1992 and the family-run company now has five child-centered facilities in the Midlands, employing 80 childcare professionals, catering for 700 families. Together with her daughter, Deirdre, Regina established Private Early Education Providers, an association dedicated to raising early education standards.

Audrey founded an architectural interior design company in 2008, specialising in hospitality projects. The team of seven are based in a studio and showroom in Co. Meath and the business was originally called ‘Be Design’. In 2013, the company was re-named and high profile projects have included The Lough Erne Resort, Cabra Castle, City Hotel Derry and Cliff Townhouse.

Headquartered in Limerick, Last Minute Minders is an introduction service, matching Garda-vetted and qualified childcare professionals with crèches and childcare providers nationwide. Growing quickly since it started trading in 2013, the company increased revenues by 180% this year. The company employs six people, manages over 300 minders and is Hannah’s second business; she set-up Aire Children’s Centre in 2004.

Rachel started the Arboretum in 1976 as a small garden centre at the back of her home. Today, the family company has retail destination stores in Carlow and Wicklow, employing 100. It was named ‘National Store of the Year’ and ‘Company of the Year’ by Retail Excellence Ireland and Rachel is the former President of the World Garden Centre Association.

After five years of selling through farmers’ markets, in 2002, Valerie and her husband Alan built a production unit on the family’s dairy farm in West Cork and ‘Glenilen Farm’ became a retail brand. The company now employs 35 people and their award-winning butter, desserts, frozen yoghurt and lemonade can be found on shelves across Ireland and the UK.

Aisling, a Galway-based food entrepreneur, set up Aisling’s Artisan Bakery in 2008. Famous for its brown soda bread and confectionary, the family bakery employs six and supplies supermarkets across the region. After identifying a gap in the baby food market, Aisling launched ‘Keenwah Quinoa’ in 2015. Its first product is Quinoa Organic Babyfood, with new product lines in development.
