Restart Fingal Programme: Local Enterprise Office Fingal Launches New Suite of Online Training to Help the Region’s Businesses

As Ireland enters the second phase in the road to recovery, Fingal LEO has adapted its online offering to aid the process of restarting the local economy.

Dubbed the ‘Restart Fingal Programme’, LEO Fingal has shifted the focus of its catalogue of training and events from crisis management during the COVID-19 emergency, to returning safely to work and even taking advantage of the new business opportunities offered in the economic reality.

To start, LEO Fingal has launched a new weekly ‘Restart Fingal Series’ which brings a guest expert to discuss the best tools and techniques for business owner/managers to gain the upper hand as the economy reopens. The first episode is tomorrow (Wednesday) and features Executive Sales Coach Sean Weafer, who will be sharing key insights on how to sell without being perceived as “pushy” by potential clients.

As we come to better understand the new market landscape, the  ‘Restart Your Own Business, Take Stock and Re-Set’ workshop will help entrepreneurs  to develop a “consultant-like” & objective approach to their businesses by revaluating their current commercial strategies with a view to refocussing or even reinventing their business model to adapt and profit from the new opportunities available.

As businesses set about the task of reopening, our workshop entitled "Planning for a Return to Onsite Working” is designed to help business owner/managers plan and reopen in compliance with the Return to Work Safely Protocol issued in May. It takes into consideration elements such as social distancing and extending business hours to cater for vulnerable patrons.

Speaking about the new training programmes, Chair of the LEO Network and Head of Enterprise in Fingal, Oisín Geoghegan said: “As the economy opens once again, Fingal LEO continues to respond decisively to the developing situation by focusing our training programme on helping SMEs to start operating again. The Local Enterprise Office is available for Fingal businesses looking to adapt and potentially thrive in the new economy. There is a broad range of supports available to businesses and we are keen to ensure they have access to sound advice so that they can assess their options and make the best decisions”.
