Student Enterprise Programme


The Local Enterprise Office Fingal runs the largest Student Enterprise programme in the country. At this event, the Fingal County Final, the next generation of entrepreneurs will compete for a place at the Student Enterprise Awards National Final in April. The hugely successful Fingal Student Enterprise Awards are co-ordinated by the Fingal Local Enterprise Office and were established 14 years ago to foster an enterprising culture within local primary and secondary schools.

It is anticipated that this year roughly 22,000 secondary students from 480 second-level schools will participate in the programme by setting up and running their own student businesses in a structured environment, while 28 Second level schools with over 2,000 students across Fingal have signed up to this years programme already.

The programme encourages students to set up innovative businesses with their classmates, as part of a nationwide competition involving over 17,000 students from 370 schools for the ‘Student Enterprise Awards’ (
