Creative Makers Galway hosts first ever Christmas pop-up shop

Creative Makers Galway to host first ever Christmas pop-up shop

Galway’s Creative Makers host their first ever Christmas pop-up shop

Creative Makers Galway have come together again for the festive season with their unique pop-up shop. It’s group of creatives’ first ever Christmas event, and runs until the 20th of December at the Cornstore, Middle Street.

Supported by the Local Enterprise Office Galway, the pop up features a wide selection of locally produced craft including: jewellery, candles, soaps, ceramics, original art, greeting cards, notebooks, calendars, wood crafted pieces and pottery.

Among this talented bunch of Creative Makers is self-taught artist Pat Flannery, based on the Wild Atlantic way in Galway. Pat predominately works with watercolour and oils. In Pat’s own words her artworks are ‘painted to connect with her audiences’ emotions, touch hearts and impact lives, they ask the viewer to pause, take a step back and enter a calm space to reconnect with memories of their childhood.’

After raising her five children, Pat decided to return to her first love - painting, leaving behind her 8am to 4pm job, she has never looked back. Pat has had both solo and group exhibitions in Ireland and her works are purchased by art enthusiasts all over the world.

Scents of Galway was established by Anna Brown in 2016.  Anna was inspired by summers growing up in Connemara and East Galway and wanted to create and produce natural products that reflect the unique beauty and diversity of the West of Ireland.

Anna produces soaps, soy candles and oil perfumes using 100% natural, high quality, sustainable ingredients and fragrant essential oils. Every product in the Scents of Galway range are inspired by Galway and crafted from nature.
