Hundreds of students to attend LEO Galway Student Enterprise Day

Hundreds of students from secondary schools across the county will gather in the city next week for a major Student Enterprise event.

The student enterprise day at the Ardilaun Hotel on October 25th is being run by Local Enterprise Office Galway in conjunction with Whizzkids Training as part of the national Student Enterprise programme.

Over 23,000 students each year from 1st year to 6th year take part by setting up and running a student business, in a bid to find out what it’s really like to be an entrepreneur.

The Galway event will feature a variety of guest speakers including Galway hurler Jason Flynn, Michael Dyer of Clarinbridge company Clean Cut Meals, and Izzy and Ailbhe Keane of Izzy Wheels.

The registered schools will then work on their own student enterprises over the coming months ahead of the county final which will take place early next year.
