The Local Enterprise Office Kildare offers 3 different types of Business Advice Clinics. The following Business Advice Clinics are run on a regular basis in LEO Kildare:

-       The Business Pathway Programme – Half-Day Business Workshop (9.30 – 1.30) for Pre-Start Up.

-       1-on-1 Business Advice Clinics – 1 hour Appointment with a Business Advisor for people who are in business.

-       Access To Finance Workshop - Half-Day Business Workshop (9.30 – 1.30).

Each of the above clinics has been described in detail below. If you wish to apply for business advice, please consult the descriptions of the available services and fill in the form in detail to ensure that you get the appropriate advice and support.

Business Pathway Programme

The Business Pathway Programme is a half-day training delivered to individuals considering the possibility of setting up their own business.

The Business Pathway Programme is designed for pre-trading business and entrepreneurs with a business idea. Participants will be advised on available supports and will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to present their business case and sell their idea to potential customers.

Topics Covered Include:

-          The Entrepreneur – Necessary Characteristics

-          The Processes – Demystifying the core start up processes of Research, Planning, & Management

-          Preparation & Focus – Crucial steps for setting up a successful business, and help to better understand your business and the challenges that lie ahead.

The overall aim of this Programme is to provide attendees with a more meaningful information platform to help you fully understand what is involved in successfully setting up a business today. Places on this Programme are free of charge; however each Programme is limited to 8 participants. Business Advice Clinics

We also run 1-on-1 Business Advice Clinics to assist entrepreneurs with a newly established start up business or for help with their existing established business.

If you wish to make an appointment at one of the clinics, please complete the Business Advice application form at this link and return to the office.  Appointments are allocated on a first come first served basis. Please bear in mind that there is a large demand for appointments.

Business Planning & Access To Finance Workshop

The Business Planning & Access To Finance Workshop is designed to demystify the processes of Business Planning and Raising Finance for your Business.

This half-day workshop is targeted at individuals who have a business and require help restructuring or developing a business plan, or are interested in gaining valuable information about accessing finance for your business.

The first part of the workshop is dedicated to the critical elements and structure of the Business Plan, and the second part will cover how to raise finance for your business. Various types of financing will be discussed, and information will also be given on types of loan finance available from lenders such as MFI and the SBCI, as well as the mainstream banks and credit unions.

There are a maximum of 8 places available on each workshop, and places are available at a cost of €10 per person.
