Kildare Creatives Business Development Programme

LEO Kildare wishes to invite expressions of interest for an exciting business development programme for artists and craft makers resident in Kildare. This programme targets creatives who have been in business for over 18 months ideally and will be delivered from January to March 2022.

The focus is to develop and enhance your online presence, increase sales and develop a compelling brand profile to grow your business. Topics include telling your unique story, finance for creative businesses, and online selling. 

The programme will be delivered online and consists of six, two-hour group workshops with four one-to-one mentoring sessions per attendee. 

This project is run by the Local Enterprise Office Kildare and is restricted to Kildare residents only.

About Mary Carty

Mary Carty

Mary Carty works at the nexus of art, technology, and business. Over the course of her career, she has worked with international companies, Universities, and Cultural Institutions, including a BAFTA nomination for The National Galleries of Scotland. Currently, a Board Director with Science Gallery International and mentor with the EBRD, Mary recently led the development of a Centre of Excellence for digital creative technologists in the West of Ireland with three key stakeholders.

She co-founded Outbox Incubator for young women in STEAM aged 11 to 25, based in London, and led the development of LaunchPad, a campus entrepreneurship programme for staff, students, and alumni at NUI Galway.

Mary understands and translates the opportunities and values that creatives bring to society and business, to solve problems and drive innovation. She demonstrates the skills necessary to develop when building a business from your creativity, research, or IP and the processes required for success.

Mary has represented Ireland on the International Visitors Leadership Program with the U.S. Department of State focusing on small business and entrepreneurship policy. As a response to Covid19, she established AwahenHub to support Irish women founders.

Mary holds a BA in Fine Art Sculpture, from LSAD; an MA in Irish Visual Culture; and an Advanced Diploma in Management Practice from Ulster University.
