Food Beginners - 'Food Glorious Food'

This programme is for the person who has always wanted to start a food business but where do you start ....?

This one day course  will cover areas on what there is to think about when setting up a food business including HACCP , Marketing Branding, knowing what your USP(unique selling point)is (unique selling point) routes to market options and other relevant areas.

From this day's course you will see where the gaps are in your idea, what having a food product entails and the importance of a plan.

Margaret Hoctor who has designed this course is a food producer herself under the Kilmullen Farm brand. Based in Wicklow they have three products on the market, apple juice, and seasonal lamb direct and seasonal sweet corn.

Margaret will bring the powerpoint training to life with practical demonstrations and experience and through shared learning and interaction.

Margaret recently designed and delivered the 'Skills for Farmers Markets ' for Bord Bia nationwide which was a resounding success. She has sixteen years of market research background also which is invaluable when researching your product. Margaret will also demonstrate how this can all be done on a reasonable budget.

She has a passion for food and creating new products and it is her belief that it is in the nuggets of shared wisdom where the real education happens.
