The Mindfulness in Business Series is a short practical course introducing mindfulness tools to participants, and providing a roadmap on how participants can integrate mindfulness into their business’ practices to enhance communication, increase engagement and manage stress.The course adopts a blended approach to learning combining instructor led with experiential learning.
In each session, businesses will explore how to integrate mindfulness into the workplace. This course acknowledges the challenges business face building sustainable organisational wellness strategies, keeping people engaged and reducing work-related stress, particularly in the current environment.
Course Output
After completing training, participants have:
- An understanding of how to create a personal mindfulness practice and how it improves your wellbeing.
- A greater understanding about the benefits of mindfulness in the workplace.
- Confidence in exploring the business case for mindfulness in their organisation
- Develop a roadmap on how to introduce and integrate mindfulness tools into business practices.
- Identify how mindfulness contributes to organisational wellness
All participants get the Mindfulness in Business series workbook and access to free online mediation practices.
Methodology
The Mindful in Business Series adopts an instructor-led blended approach to learning. The training is underpinned using the Kirkpatrick evaluation model to monitor changes in behaviours and attitudes pre and post participation in the course.
Commitment to Practice
Like getting physically fit we exercise, to benefit from mindfulness, you need to practice. During this course, participants will be encouraged and supported to develop a regular mindfulness practice in both formal and informal ways. Research demonstrates that even as little as a ten-minute mindful breathing meditation regularly practiced activates the prefrontal cortex. In other words, increases strong mental processing skills, high emotional regulation and increases focus. Participating in the formal classes is part of the course; regular self-practice is essential for participants to benefit from the course.
