It is important that SMEs have a suite of tools available to them to assist with the maintenance and management of their social media channels.  This course will introduce the participants to a range of free and low-cost tools that will assist them with managing and analysing their social media channels.

This day will be broken into four modules:

  1. Reputation Management: track mentions of your business or a competitor online so you can respond or react as needed.  Tools that will be covered will include Google Alerts, Mention and Talk Walker
  2. Measurement & Analysis: Understanding what is happening and make informed decisions based on data provided. Tools that will be covered will include Followerwonk (Twitter Analysis), LikeAlyzer & Fan Page Karma (Facebook Analysis), Iconosquare (Instagram Analysis) and Keyhole (#Hashtag Analysis)
  3. Management: It is important to have tools available to assist with the management of social media channels.  This will enable businesses to stream line processes and centralise everything for easier management.  Tools that will be covered will include Hootsuite & Buffer.
  4. Planning: There are many tools available to help with the planning, curating and scheduling of content across social media channels.  Tools that will be covered will include ContentCal, Buzzsumo & Postplanner.

During the day the participants will be given the opportunity to create accounts in some of the above tools and use some of the tools and features.

Participants will require their social media access details so they can participate in the practical elements of the day.

A PC will be provided but participants can bring their own laptop and a smartphone for the day.
