While COVID-19 prevention is now critical to everyone’s health, the need to overcome pending Brexit Customs issues will soon become essential for most businesses. Irish Revenue have indicated that over 90,000 businesses will be affected and DBEI highlighted that 85% of SMEs at risk following the withdrawal period. Declarations will be subject to strict compliance and documentation requirements. Goods shipments between Ireland and UK may be delayed or impounded and penalties incurred. Early action must take place to set up compliance procedures and get processes in place, which is essential for Ireland’s business and employment.

Austin Rutledge, Director Export-Edge and his colleagues, will help you understand the pending Customs documentation requirements and procedures needed, following Brexit. Export Edge (for over 20 years), have been leaders in Customs and Export Operations Training to help companies optimise their Trade and Customs procedures plus keep abreast of their compliance responsibilities.

These Sessions will include:

  • Core Customs learning in preparation for Brexit withdrawal.
  • Attendee participation through online discussions, case studies, chats to address members issues and break out rooms (depending on numbers).
  • Each delivery will involve two trainers from Export Edge to facilitate participant learning.
  • Pre-event contact and review of attendee trade and customs issues. Follow up after the event with further details and online one to one clinics to guide you on customs Gap Analysis and pending tasks for action.
