The aim of the workshop is to provide an introduction and practical guide to PR & Media and to equip small business owners with the necessary skills and techniques for writing press releases, handling media interviews, maximising social media for the purpose of publicity and building and maintaining a network of media contacts.
The emphasis is on being proactive and news reactive to help participants understand the potential news value within their businesses.
Participants will be shown how to create news by turning everyday activities into newsworthy stories from highlighting the idea to writing the press release, organising PR activities to setting a budget and evaluating and measuring results.
