FREE WORKSHOP FOR KILKENNY-BASED BUSINESSES CONSIDERING NORTHERN IRELAND AS A TARGET MARKET POST-BREXIT

Brexit is finally ‘done’ and we now know in broad terms what the trading relationship with the UK looks like. As a result of the deal, Northern Ireland finds itself in a unique position with free access to both suppliers and customers in Ireland, GB and the rest of the EU.

Since the Deal, many Irish businesses are already looking at Northern Ireland as a potentially very important target market.

This workshop will provide you with a clear understanding of:

• The strategic importance of Northern Ireland as a potential springboard into the much larger GB market, a market with some 65 million people in total.
• The new realities of the South-North trading relationship….and the opportunities that lie therein for Irish businesses;
• The practicalities of doing business in NI – the similarities and the differences;
• The practical support that is available to facilitate your efforts to build trading relationships in Northern Ireland.

The workshop will be delivered by Simon Devlin, Managing Director of Full Circle in Belfast.  Having worked in a number of senior export sales management roles within the engineering sector, Simon has done business in over 90 countries worldwide. Since its establishment in 2005, Full Circle has worked with thousands of Irish businesses to successfully identify, target and exploit new business opportunities in markets outside Ireland.Simon has over 25 years’ experience of working with small and medium sized businesses to support their efforts to grow new business in new markets.  Simon will share his top tips on how to maximise the probability of winning new sales in Northern Ireland and how you can apply for support from InterTradeIreland to fast-track the effort to do so.
