This programme is aimed at helping the Entrepreneur become 'start-up' ready, focusing on how to prepare business plans, what market research and marketing tools are available, how to manage cash flow and making the most out of technology. If you are setting up your own business for the first time, this is a practical course which will give you an understanding of all the requirements and challenges you are likely to encounter.

This Starting a Business Programme will be delivered online on the following dates:

Oct 17th, 20th, 24th, 27th and Nov 7th, 10th, 14th, 17th, 21st, 24th, 28th - Time: 6.30pm - 9.00pm  (Finish times may vary slightly per day)

Objective:

This online programme is to provide participants with the skills to assess the viability of their business ideas and provide a strong understanding of the essential elements involved in setting up and running your own business

Modules to be covered include:

  • Identifying, understanding and researching the target market including topics such as digitalization and the circular economy.
  • Developing your Business Plan / Completing Business Canvas Model.
  • Business Registration & Structure, Taxation and Insurance & Business canvas model.
  • Maximise your Online Presence.
  • Developing the Sales Pitch.
  • Promoting your Business and building your Brand.
  • Financial planning (pricing, costing etc) . .
  • Digital Marketing of your Business.
  • Legislation - HR management, Data & IP Protection.
  • Basic Bookkeeping.
  • Sources of Finance
