1. Who is Instagram for?

• Understanding who uses Instagram in Ireland – mostly those aged under 45.

2. Instagram for Business

• Getting started - Setting up an Instagram professional account and completing a bio, linking to website and your Facebook business page.
• Posting to Instagram is via mobile phone app only.
• How to post images and videos, using hashtags (#), location tags and how to build engagement.
• Choosing which other accounts to follow on Instagram and how to tag other accounts (@).
• The encouraged use of filters on Instagram to create visually appealing images.
• Know that Instagram drives relatively few clicks to your website.
• How to search on Instagram and how people use it.

3. Stories on Instagram

• ‘Stories’ are short-lived collections of images and/or videos.
• ‘Stories’ provide a great way of promoting something short-lived, e.g. special offers tomorrow, new product announcement, etc.
• Achieving legacy from Stories, through ‘Highlights’.

4. A quick look at Reels.

While this course is open to everyone if over-subscribed priority will be given to Leitrim based businesses.
