Objectives
- This Food Safety Course which details the HACCP and food handling requirements for food workers (including chefs, cooks, production staff, meat handling, deli staff, supervisors and owners).
- The Training Programme notes are based on the FSAI Training Guides Level 1 & 2. On completion of the examination, successful participants are awarded a certificate from the Environmental Health Association of Ireland. This Certificate is valid for 5 years from the date of issue.
The course consists of the following:
- Benefits of Good Hygiene, Dangers of Food contamination
- HACCP Procedures during food delivery & storage
- HACCP Procedures during food preparation, cooking and service
- Personal Hygiene Requirements
- Food premises and equipment requirements
- Pest control Procedures
- Cleaning and disinfection
- Food safety law and enforcement
Assessment – 1 Hour Examination
- Multiple Choice Questions & Short Answer Questions
Certification
- EHAI (Environmental Health Association of Ireland)
While this training is open to everyone if over-subscribed priority will be given to Leitrim based companies.
