A partnership agreement was signed between Valerie Murphy, President of Network Ireland Limerick and Eamon Ryan, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Limerick to strengthen the Women in Business network for 2019. Also present were Caitriona O'Donoghue, incoming president of Network Limerick for 2019 and Mary Killeen-Fitzgerald, Senior Enterprise Development Officer with Local Enterprise Office Limerick.
Network Ireland Limerick provides a forum where women in business can exchange business ideas and increase their business contacts. It encourages women to achieve more satisfying careers and promotes women as worthy contributors to the Irish economy. Network Ireland Limerick is a branch of Network Ireland, a national organisation with over 1,200 members and 15 branches through the country.
Speaking about the partnership agreement, Eamon Ryan, LEO Limerick, said, “This partnership further strengthens the relationship between our two organisations. LEO Limerick has been a long-standing sponsor of Network Ireland Limerick so we appreciate the value members of Network Ireland get from attending their events, the connections they make and the support they receive. We can see it through the growth and development within their business.”

Network Ireland Limerick holds monthly networking meetings where a guest speaker is invited to educate, inform and entertain on topics of interest to women. Members can develop and pool their individual skills through interaction with other women in a supportive environment which offers, training, mentoring and an opportunity for women who call on other members with specialist expertise for help. It also provides a forum for established women to develop professional and social contacts.
“Network Ireland is unique in the fact that it offers support, mentoring and confidence building for women, in particular those starting in business or returning to the workplace. Members can develop and pool their individual skills through interaction and collaboration with other women in a supportive environment which offers training, mentoring and an opportunity to tap into the skills and specialist expertise of other members. There is no other network available where you can develop in the way Network Ireland allows,” said Ms Murphy.
