This 6-week course helps participants develop an understanding of the steps involved in becoming self-employed and starting up their own business. During the six sessions, the course covers the different allowances and schemes available to new start-ups, important topics such as a business plan, start-up costs and expenses, business advice, employing someone for the first time, registration of a business, intellectual property, wages, budgets, cashflows and VAT and one full session on Marketing for a start-up.

This 6-session course will helps participant develop an understanding of the steps in starting up their own business. The course covers business planning, start-up costs and expenses, business advice, employing someone for the first time, registration of a business, intellectual property, wages, budgets, cashflows and VAT, marketing and funding.
Each participant will receive an easy to understand manual which includes practical information and guidance, comprehensive notes, templates and links for future reference. The Start Your Own Business 6-week programme is delivered through practical and interactive training both online and in a classroom setting. Participation and discussion are always encouraged by the trainer, Padraig Considine.
