Small Business Accounts Using Excel Spreadsheets

The aim of this course is to introduce participants to setting up a simple, straight-forward, user-friendly bookkeeping system for their business using Microsoft Excel.

The objectives are to teach participants how to keep proper Books on their computer and demonstrate and practice setting up bookkeeping spread-sheets and using basic Excel formula for greater efficiency. Participants will also be shown how to compile a VAT return and Profit and Loss account by linking to the bookkeeping spreadsheets.

• Start up and File management
• Spreadsheet set up for bookkeeping
• Recording sales, purchases, VAT and bank transactions
• Using Excel formula
• Managing, formatting and linking sheets
• Page set up for reporting and printing
• Protecting sheets with passwords

Laptops will be provided.  If you are planning to bring your own, please ensure that it has a full version of Excel installed.
